Helping Employers Navigate the Maze of the Fair Labor Standards Act and Wage-and-Hour Laws.
Dedicated To Protecting You And Your Business From Wage-and-Hour Lawsuits.
What is the Fair Labor Standards Act?
The fair labor standards act (FLSA) is a federal law that requires employers, among other things, to pay their employees minimum wage and overtime, maintain employee records, and abide by age restrictions in hiring. The FLSA applies to as many as 143 million employees and 9 million businesses
Employers are busy running their companies and are often unaware of the FLSA’s many requirements and substantial penalties for violations. Eventually, these companies become the target of expensive FLSA lawsuits.

“I am always mindful that a legal case is more than just a number. It represents a deeply personal, sometimes traumatic, and always a very important event in the lives of people.”
Hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you! My name is Albert Wilson, Jr. But you can call me Albert
For years, I’ve practiced law in the Washington, D.C. metro area. I’ve successfully litigated cases involving, among other areas, construction, real estate, business, and employment. Over the years, however, I’ve focused my practice on advising employers in matters involving the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and state wage-and-hour laws. I focus on the FLSA and state wage-and-hour cases for three reasons.

Protect Your Business From Wage & Hour Claims
Wage-and-hour law is one of the most complex and misunderstood areas of employment law. Well-intentioned business owners are often targeted over technical violations buried in dense regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and related state laws.
Too often, wage and hour lawsuits enrich plaintiff’s attorneys — not employees — while hardworking businesses pay the price for rules they didn’t even know existed.
My focus is different. I help business owners understand wage and hour obligations, fix issues before they become claims, and build compliance systems that reduce risk. The goal isn’t litigation — it’s prevention, clarity, and protecting your business.
If you have questions, concerns, or want to make sure your pay practices are compliant, I’m here to help.
